The challenge was to design a 40,000 square feet office building
in Hexham in sympathy with an existing listed mill building.
The mill will be refurbished to provide a further 4000 square
feet of annexed office space. To satisfy planning requirements
the new building has been designed using natural stone walling
and natural slate roof with “traditional” features
to mirror the listed building.
